Comino

November tends to offer quite stunning days especially after some rainy ones. Last week I headed for a day in Comino with a friend to enjoy the peace and quiet of the island. The weather was spectacular and I even enjoyed a lovely swim and suntan. Walking at such a time of the year in Comino is something unique and the spectacular views are so soothing to one's mental health.

I had a lovely time also in capturing some fine shots of the island due to the fact that the colour temperature of the atmosphere was perfect - quite a rare occasion as often it is hazy.

An interesting find was a bunch of quite big wild mushrooms in the old village area near the canon. The island is quite deserted save to some half a dozen people. Even the hotel was empty and the feeling of being on a somewhat deserted island cut off from your home yet pretty close for a quick return is quite exciting to me. The village part of the island is like a ghost village having also a bar - all abandoned through the passage of time....

Had to share these pictures...

Staying Young

All baby boomers are getting on in years and one of our main concerns is how to prolong our health and wellbeing. Gyms and spas are common places frequented by the boomer generation for doing just that. Staying in shape in body, mind and spiritshould be taken seriously for our own good.

We are in November and winter is creaping in gradually. Just to liven up any dismal feelings I found a lively presentation on how to stay young in a nutshell. It does make a lot of sense inspite of its funky treatment. Enjoy!
