Thirty years ago today Elvis Presleydied on August 16th, 1977. He is a kind of 'landmark' in every baby boomer's heart and the mention of his name alone opens a can of worms. What memories of the 50s and 60s especially, are brought to mind when one hears Are you Lonesome Tonight, Don't be Cruel and Love Me Tender, to name but a few...

This video depicts Elvis at the start of his carreer showing his innocent, youthful features. Love me Tender was his first film.
